About TERRY
From my third-floor studio window, I watched thousands of fans crowding Music Row on a warm Wednesday afternoon in 2015, all vying for a glimpse of Blake Shelton’s impromptu street concert outside the Warner Music Nashville offices. It was one of those moments that made me think, “This is a pretty cool job.” While not every day is quite so extraordinary, nearly 30 years in Music City’s creative community have gifted me countless “pinch me” moments for which I am very grateful.
Hi, I’m Terry—a music and audio professional based in Nashville, Tennessee. While I enjoy performing as a keyboardist, and the thrill of experiencing great music performed live by incredible musicians, I have a particular affinity for the art and science of recording and producing music. This fascination has driven me to dedicate much of my life to mastering various disciplines of music production. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to contribute to a wide range of commercial, community, and ministry-based projects, serving in creative, technical, and administrative roles. These experiences have shaped a diverse skill set and a multifaceted perspective, enabling me to bring unique value to every client and collaborator I work with.
After graduating from Full Sail’s Recording Arts program in August 1995, I moved to Nashville with the goal of establishing myself as a music producer. My first significant break came through an apprenticeship with award-winning CCM producer and songwriter Charlie Peacock. For six months, I shadowed Peacock and assisted his engineer, Shane Wilson. The relationships I built during my time at Charlie Peacock Productions proved transformative, opening doors to nearly every major professional opportunity I’ve had since. By early 1996, these connections led to collaborations with other prominent Nashville producers, including Tommy Sims, Brown Bannister, and Tedd T.
In 1998, I began a four-year tenure with Provident Music Group, taking on roles within the label’s A&R and publishing creative teams. I contributed to artist and songwriter development, song and catalog placement strategies, managed the company’s studio facilities, and participated as a producer and engineer in demo recording sessions. These experiences broadened my professional network and opened doors to production opportunities with other publishers, labels, and producers across Nashville.
In 2004, I joined Warner Music Group, where I’ve held roles spanning label and distribution operations. Over these two decades, I’ve honed my technical expertise, developed strong leadership skills, and expanded my professional network on a global scale. Currently, I serve as Director of Studio Services for Warner Music Nashville, overseeing studio facility and operations while contributing as a recording, mixing, and mastering engineer. I strive to ensure sessions run smoothly, gear behaves, and our artists feel at home and poised to create.
Beyond my responsibilities with WMG, I continue to collaborate with other clients. I occasionally produce, mix and master custom recordings for indie artists, songwriters, publishers, and churches. I also consult with select independent record labels, offering engineering expertise and asset management services. I approach each project holistically, blending creative, technical and administrative expertise to help clients achieve and transcend their creative goals. No project is too small to receive thoughtful consideration, so feel free to reach out if you think I can help.
I’m also passionate about contributing to our community. I serve as Chair of the Nashville Section of the Audio Engineering Society, connecting with fellow audio professionals and helping organize events that promote education and collaboration within our field. Additionally, I’m actively involved at my church, where I participate in various ministries and missions initiatives.
